You will also get the chance to explore the majestic Ngorongoro crater which is a caldera that resulted from a collapse of a volcano that is believed to have been larger than Mt. Kilimanjaro. Also the alkaline Lake Manyara is going to take your breath away with its flocks of thousands of flamingos and other birds. The relatively wet Tarangire national park is composed of granitic ridges, river valley, and swamps.
