Kilimanjaro Lemosho Route

Enjoy the mountain's tranquility
This route is a favorite of both hikers and guides. It is the longest, but also one of the least busy routes up the mountain. The tranquil trails offer a captivating scenery with the possibility of wildlife spotting on the first day. You will be trekking over the Shira plateau, the oldest of Kilimanjaro’s volcanic cones. Trekking from the south-west of Kilimanjaro, this tour will provide you with is known for its fantastic panoramas.
The fourth day of this tour will be your acclimatization day. It will help you adjust to the high altitude and ultimately helps you to avoid altitude sickness. On this day you will hike up to the Lava Tower and your guide will explain the Kilimanjaro’s volcanic history while taking a rest.
This route is recommended for the slightly more trained hiker as the trail is longer and slightly more difficult. However, this route also has an amazingly high success rate due to it’s long acclimatization to the altitude, which makes this the highly favored route among hikers and guides.
